The Power of Hope in Labour's Campaign for Independence

I wondered whether it helps frame an argument in Scotland. I think a big part of our appeal is recognising and contrasting that with what the nationalists have been saying. The nationalists are very adept at using a language and a rhetoric of hope. It's been incredibly effective as an electoral message. And essentially, they've used a language of hope, but their currency has been despair.
