International Responsibility - A History of Responsibility

Until recently, until the 19 nineties, states were not thought to be burdened by any obligation to care for strangers when they didn't want to. But i'd repeatedly come across evidence that this was also a myth. And so i came to realize that i wanted to write another book, a book about the history, and in turn, about the present and the future,. of this responsibility to protect not one's own population, but populations beyond one's borders. That's what became this more recent book, sharing responsibility.
