CHAPTER

Is There Any Other Really Weird Practices?

The belief was in some cases that if the vine got out of the coffin and went to another coffin, then another person in the family was going to die. In Willington, Connecticut in 1784, a foreign quack doctor had come to town and told them he could cure a consumption. And so he induced a man named Isaac Johnson to zoom the bodies of two of his children in and to look for this vine. That is fine what they were looking for. So I think they just re-buried the two children. But what, is there any other really strange, weird practices that they would do that, that's stuck out to you in your research?
