Offset Carbon Credits - What Are They Doing?
Government intervention and companies voluntarily offsetting their carbon emission are two ways to reduce pollution. Cap and trade is a famous system in which countries cap the amount of CO2 that can be emitted by an industry, but also allow people to sell credits for it. Some countries even auction this off with tesla making more money selling these credits than they do from actually making cars.
