The Materialistic Idea of Consciousness
There's some evidence, by the way, when you ask people in different countries about how much meaning their life has. One effect is that unlike the happiness data, the poorer countries, citizens say they have more meaning in their lives and also those countries tend to be more religious. Paul: I think all of our science converges on the idea that not only does our intelligence, what we're doing now being able to have a conversation, remember things, reason about the world, come from our physical natures. So too does our sense of consciousness.
