The Great American Novel

I love the discussion of the great American novel. This whole concept because it's partially a little insulting but in an academically interesting sense. I genuinely love Huggleberry Finn. It is a deeply devoutly and overtly anti-racist novel. But I have to imagine it would be incredibly difficult for people of certain backgrounds to read itBecause of what it depicts and the way that it depicts it. And so yes there are people who hate it on those grounds. However, I think it is inarguably a great novel though.
