Acoustic Riff - The Journey From Quiet to Loud

The journey from very quiet intro to that very loud climax, the trip from pianissimo to fortissimo, is actually remarkably smooth in this song. There's some plateaus along the way, a couple of places where the harmony changes, but it does it pretty steadily and it doesn't do back tracking. Once it gets loud, then it just kind of ends. So it's like, start as quiet as possible, and then slowly, steadily add things until it's super, super loud and intense. And i want to talk about why it sounds cool.
