The Knife Is Still in My Wall

I love that painting because it's so charged, and it's so minimal at the same time. Can you talk about that precise work and how that came to exist? Everyone wants to know how that one came to exist, well that knife is still in my wall. What came first, the idea or the knife happened then the idea of the painting, or was the painting idea happening through a knife again? Maybe I wanted to see what's behind the closed door in the back of the canvas. maybe there is no outside of this system that we live in.
