The Four-Factor PCC Study and the Safety Outcomes
There was no statistically significant difference in the amount of blood components that were required for patients, whether they got four-factor PCC or placebo. The authors confirmed that the time spent in the study up to 24 hours did not differ between the two groups to prevent something called survivor bias from being used as a primary outcome. There was an increase in thromboembolic events among those who took part in the trial.
