I just wonder at what point there will be a reckoning when governments say, well, what are we actually getting for the investment and for the costs? And I think that moment is well and truly nigh. There is a far more profound desire to grapple with the way in which these systems are shifting the grounds of the political really and in the world to which we live. The purpose is built into those histories. Those purposes seems so clear when you described them, and yet still in political discourse, AI is often referred to as a platform technology or a general purpose technology. It doesn't look like that at all.
