Introduction
As writers we're not trained to think visually but there's one element of writing that is always a visual endeavor for me it's narrative structure. Often the teacher or textbook draws this as an equilateral triangle with the climax firmly in the top middle but that's not where the climax usually falls. So I shift the diagram in my head a bit to the right so it looks less like a pyramid and more like a rampThe rising action takes up most of the story with the climaxes near the end as possible.
