It's interesting to see people's attitudes towards this because you do get some of the old school that feel like these modern things. It should be Jiu Jitsu and we should appreciate the various aspects of it, I believe. The same is true when people get caught up in the self-defense versus competition. Some people kind of use that as an excuse that there are techniques that some people should not train. If you have a true innovation, great. But it shouldn't be old school against new school.
