Pietro Arontino is considered the forefather of literary pornography. He basically called the church out and said, you can't keep condemning oral sex when you find it funny to eat phallic-shaped objects. This may be one of my favourite references to Felicio that comes from the 17th century. Nicolas Gaudier writes a pornographic text called the School of Venus. At one part in this book, a husband is very much convincing his new wife that he should perform oral sex on him. And she responds by saying: Oh, what an air you want me to play!
