Yenny's Senses - The Secret of Enceladus

Yenny's breath rattled against his eardrums, his eyeballs ached with the onslaught of blinding light. The ice was as slippery as wet glass and riddled with ridges and cracks. Deprived of the artificial gravity of his house, he felt as though he might spontaneously drift into the sky. Out here, a god's finger could descend from the heavens and remove him from the landscape like a stray eyelash. He hadn't imagined that Enceladus would be so frictionless, so swollen with silent light and terrifyingly spacious. They scrambled together across the last stretch to the flat of a crater where a black cuddle-flish of a spacecraft waited, wearing a veil
