The Symbolism of Chamez and Matzah

In order to make a kosher matzah for Passover, one must finish baking it within 18 minutes of when it is done being needed. The Torah states in Exodus 12 the consequences for eating chamez is to be cut off from Israel. Chamez doesn't really mean leavened bread. For example, noodles, tortillas, or crackers could still be chamez. If you are Jewish and you're new to this idea, don't sweat it. There's space for someone to learn and grow.
