She uncovered tiny flint points that her experiments show appear to have been used as arrowheads in a cave in France. Did we share this know-how without Neanderthal relatives who coexisted alongside us for much of our evolutionary history? And did having these weapons in fact contribute to the eventual disappearance of Neanderthals some 40,000 years ago?
