The increasingly fragmented market has definitely spooked some of these legacy brands. Nike, for example, is going more aggressively direct to consumer in order to regain their pricing power. We're seeing smaller brands like Fela revamping old bestsellers and collaborating with innovative small brands like Tala. But if Adidas don't find a way to set themselves apart in the space, their margins are going to keep shrinking for a while yet.
