The Pursuit of Utility
Nietzsche argues that even what we consider to be utility is merely an imagined value. What may appear to have value in the short term may have dire consequences in the long term. The pursuit of utility may lead us to create societies which are increasingly safe, predictable, and comfortable. We might take away all struggle, challenge, and suffering.
