"I lost a lot of weight in the county jail," he says. "It's just like you just can't even eat it. You don't even want to eat any of it." He was put into solitary confinement for about 10 days before being shipped out to reception, which is called orientation. The new environment made him feel vulnerable and depressed at the same time.
