I think a cover can attract my attention but won't be decisive I don't think I anything about a cover could convince me that this is a book I must have. You want to let them make their own choices their own selections finding their own way and not really pressuring them. reading is very much a personal thing especially in childhood Especially where parents are often tempted to well is this a book good for the kid or what kind of person should read it.
