Maximilian Colby was sent to Auschwitz as a Catholic priest. While there, he saved the life of a Jewish man who was being put to death by starvation. "He is such a paradigmatic example of the way that God can use suffering in someone's life to build these earth exemplify," says Frida Ghitis.
