The Dita K and the Eucharist
There are some very triumphalistic claims made about the traditional pedigree of the doctrine of the real presence. I think that a lot of that is sort of founded on biased and anachronistic readings of past sources. The Dita K does refer to the Eucharist as a sacrifice but people say, Oh, it's a sacrifice therefore that means that Christ must be really present. That occurs much later in history. It was like 300 years from the birth of Jesus till Cyril of Jerusalem until things changed radically by Jesus' time.
