The Flight Data Recorder Isn't as Big as It Used to Be
This is another one of those frustrating incidents where this happened back ee the sep back in 19 85. This was back at the time when cockpit voice recorders only recorded 30 minutes and then would record over itself. So they had to kind of try to connect some dots and figure some things out because they didn't have all the information easily, readily accessible to them. Yet, nowadays, it seems dumb to not be able to just save everything.
