Gaveye: It obviously depends on what someone's outside options are to a significant degree. I think people develop skills at a different pace or sort of reveal themselves as people who can do pretty valuable work at different paces. He says the best way to get positive signals if you have an opportunity to do something like an internship is publicly writing about it. We'll really be personal at the level of how much you value impact versus your life being nice and things like that, he adds.
