If you want to be a successful therapist, you have to be really good at crappy administrative work. You need incredibly strong boundaries to stay healthy and avoid compassion, fatigue, and burnout as a therapist. And the last thing to consider is that some of us choose to become therapists because of our own personal struggles. So even if you're gifted, which is fantastic, I'd be a little bit careful about defaulting to becoming a therapist.
