Shoes are not going to be your most important part when it comes to shin splints. The next question they're asking, does too much Z2 zone two heart rate training make you slow? They've been following uphill athlete and 80 to 90% is in Z2 in zone two. But the answer is no if you're doing the other stuff right. Our bodies aren't made to run at zone four every single day of the week. We won't have enough recovery in between those runs to get better.
