I love the moments where they have joys always tied back to Hawaiian culture. It's very rare to see sister relationships focused on in kids media, especially kids media of this time. The original plan of this movie was Stitch and a little boy in Kansas. But early, I think before the setting of the movie was switched, the gender of the child was switched.
