The Advanced Stage Hodgkin International Prognostic Index

A holistic consortium has put together masses of data from clinical trials into one place. They inputted over 4,000 patients in this particular analysis to come up with a new advanced stage prognostic score. One of the really interesting outputs from that presentation was simply about age. And what they demonstrated very well is that the best age, if I can put it like that, to get Hodgkin is 30. So your outcome is best if you're 30. If you're 18, your outcome is similar to if you were 45. But because the numbers were so small, it wasn't really statistically significant. When you pull all this data together, it's quite a clear J-shaped curve.
