Tree Mortality in the Amazon Basin
For the last 50 years in this tropical moist forest, we see that across species and sights, tree mortality markedly increased. This equates to a halving of the expected life span exat with all that carbon tied up in their trunks. The paper seems to have quite an impressive list of the causes of death, what would reduce the life span of these trees,. ranging from, you know, i guess, r water availability, temperature stress and that kind thingy.
