Is Air Pollution Doing Something Subtly Different to Lead to Cancer?

Air pollution is not mutating the cells in your lungs like crazy so that they eventually become cancerous cells. We actually did not see a significant increase in the numbers of mutations, but instead we saw things like an increase in inflammation. Creating this conducive environment within our lung cells. So, then we get this right in my head.
