The Vulgarity of Oscar Wilde

After the play James wrote in his journal, I take up my own old pen again. It is now indeed that I may do the work of my life. And one of the first things he wrote if not the very first thing was the story, the figure in the carpet. He came out of that failure determined to succeed. The other great theory might be connected to bore his is that this is all hoax. There's no figure. That would be a very literary turn. But let's get back to the story and see what it says.
