How Many Stars Are There in Our Milky Way Galaxy?

Our best estimate is that there are a hundred billion stars in our own milkyway galaxy. That's about as many stars as human beings who ever lived on planet earth. There could be stars that we can't see because they're so faint. We have european space agency guy mission up at the moment. It was launched in a two thousand and 13, and that's currently mapping out one % of all the stars in our milky ray galaxy.
