Sea Lightning - The Protocl Layer of Lightning
The biggest change is that in the past, lake, or current day, i should say. When you open a lightning channel, only one side of the channel basically has to figure out what the funding transaction is going to look like and then tell the other peer. We've changed the underlying protocle such that now when you open a channel, both sides construct a channel together. Both sides will hae opportunity to put funds in the channel at the beginning of it. This means that you can immediately send and receive payments in the same channel.
