Basil Zaharoff - The Man Who Saved the World

Basil Zaharoff was deeply trusted by men at the heights of power on the Allied side. He acted as a go-between for King George V, Lloyd George and French Prime Minister Clemenceau. It's impossible to say exactly what impact his personal influence had on the war. But he did make one attempt to secure peace in 1917.
