The british are happy to leave the arab leaders sitting in committees arguing with jews over what a village or a hill should be called. This means theyre not demonstrating over the british occupation and their country, or over the overall zionist project. When you put this kind of thing in that context, these little squabbles are starting to become very important to a lot of people. And they seem petty, but in an environment where nationalist fervor is strong on two sides, these are not small questions.
