Is Regional Selective Assistance Bringing Down Spacial Inequality?
A few years ago, you were one of the authors of a paper on regional selective assistance in the european union. And that was pretty positive about the impact that had giving subsidies to firms in those left behind places to create emp ment. Are these policies generally speaking, bringing down spacial inequality? I mean, there the detail matters are luned. So if wo take regional selective assistants, what we found that, which was a capital subsidy, you know, that was targeted at firms in deprived areas,. We found that it could increase employment, but it didn't do very much productivity.
