Is Your Manipulation Really Working?

i wrote a commentary on a paper that claimed third tramester fetuses already have a preference for shapes that look like human faces. i personally think this claim is vry, likely false. We looked at this, we found where, we found a lot of issues with the method. And you can't really tell the two conditions from each other. They're just super fuzzy. So it just doesn't work the way you think it works. I find it infuriating that we don't have slightly higher thresholds for accepting something like this in the first place before we go ahead and put so much effort and money into it.
