People have a schisoprenic approach to monetary versos fiscal policies. Tary policy supposed to be technocratic. Ofer the last eight or nine years, hav become completely free. There is virtually no adult supervision at all. Central banks can spend trillions of dollars and almost nobody cares. But on the fiscal side, you need to explain where ou're going to spend the money. And it's usually time limited. Its sunsets,. whereas monetary policy these days has a completely open endd there is no sunset.
