The republican leaders of the georgia state legislature said they are not going to support a bill that would lead to a vote on buckhead secession. Their publicly stated reasoning was exactly what you heard tricia say, atlanta has a new mayor. Let's give him some time and see if he can fix the crime problem and some of these other problems. Ump, so where does this leave nowell? i mean, it sounds like even if crime does go down, people in buckhead are still going to want to leave. It might get caught in some legal limbo. But ultimately my takeaway here is that people are just going to look out for themselves.
