The Horror of Elmer McCurdy's Death

Elmer McCurdy was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel room, covered in wax and phosphorus paint. The corpse had been defiled so badly that no living relatives would come forward to claim it. A local funeral home offered to buy the body free of charge, but officials decided to bury him in Oklahoma instead. Two feet of concrete were poured over Elmer's casket for his final rest at Summit View Cemetery on April 22nd 1977.
