The Importance of Philosophy in Curriculum Development
The most popular theory right now in our context is the theory of powerful knowledge but if a teacher is not engaging in philosophical thinking they won't realize that there are other philosophies that offer a far more comprehensive curriculum theory. The language of the curriculum for whales even kind of suggests this because we have areas of learning and experience not areas oflearning and knowledge so having this kind of philosophical engagement is crucial. Dr kev jones: We did a great job in bringing people teachers to the table engaging them in curriculum development, using the pioneer program with all of its benefits and warts and stuff like that.
