Reat: In economics, the main conclusion for what kind of drives that gender inequality in the market gets boiled down to differences in oices. Raght: formal restrictions on what women are and are not allowed to do are a very big constraint for changes in social norms. Reat: If i want to enter into an occupation that's not traditionally one that a females go into, i can try to challenge those social norms. But if there's legal restrictions on whether or not i am allowed to try to enter into that occupation, well, then i can never really be the trail blazer.
