Bard

The word bard is used metaphorically to prevent something from happening. In this headline the Taliban have prevented or stopped women going to university. The word trickle is usually connected to water, isn't it? So for example, if you cry, a tear trickles down your cheek. We could also use it to describe people or things moving gradually.
