The Senate Is a Pointless Institution
There are 89 senators currently occupying the upper chamber. 25 of the 89 routinely miss at least one vote, according to an analysis. There have really been 37 votes in the past year. It's just such a pointless institution and arguably the reforms that have been instituted by the Trudeau government have made it worse.
