The Causal Theory of Love
This is the first speech, and it's intended to be, in some sense, Lissius' speech. The analogy is to like truth or goodness, which I think for Plato and Socrates are also objective and not subjective. So there's a mechanism at work that we can apply in arguing for what the effects of the lover will be on the beloved.
