If you are doing a lot of running on a hard surface, your body is going to be used to that extra impact and it's going to build extra resilience. Like everything, our body will adapt. But if you were to use a combination of these strategies in your training, when you really don't have too many hills as an option inyour training, you'll still be fairly well prepared for that downhill race.
