How Do Heat Waves Affect People's Health?

Both hot and cold days are harmful. They increase mortality. But places in the north of the country that have historically been cold, they tend to deal very well with cold temperatures. Whereas places in the south of the country who have a history of dealing with hot temperatures, it's the opposite. And so places have adapted to their historical temperatures.
