Jerome Crawford has had clients who assumed he was an intern or an assistant. He's also experienced racism from judges he's appeared in front of, including one incident during his first year of practice with a black female judge. When she hears how high my peanut number is, which is my bar number, it raised her eyebrows and she goes, well, thank you, Mr. Crawford.
