How Cool Is It to Be a Scientist?
i don't think people understand how exciting it is every day your job is to try to think up something no one has ever thought about before, and then go prove you're right, or you're wrong. There's this view of science as boring and as too hard. And those are not true. Like, it's not boring. Every day people try to make you be better than you were the day before. You know, these bacteria have had, in my case, four billion years to keep their secrets from me. That's an amazing job. I wish more people understood that hum cool it is to be a scientist."
