The Role of Central Banks and Policymakers to Preempt Bubbles

Do you think there is a role for central banks to preempt bubbles and stamp them out before they get too big? I'm not entirely sure what it's going to look like. It'll probably come down to some trial and error, to be honest. What we're concerned about is limiting the fall out of a collapsing bubble.
